How long are you soaking your parts in the Evapo-Rust for applying the elbow grease? They're coming out great!

How long are you soaking your parts in the Evapo-Rust for applying the elbow grease? They're coming out great! Kinda depends on how bad they are. Anywhere from an hour or two to overnight and as long as 24 hrs or more.

Right on! I was planning in doing my parts soon and didn't want to over do it. You really cant hurt anything shiny by leaving it for days I have found. I get it in a 5 Gallon pail from Amazon. $80 USD with free shipping with my Prime account. Non chrome or un-plated hardware can become grey however. But I left a set of fork covers in ER for a week once, no problems with the shiny stuff at all.

I'm curious the ratio of sign-up's to F U's? I'm guessing 1:100

I know you can't post pictures at the moment but how's the H2 coming along? ..any progress since the last update? The bike is all together but I haven't started it yet. When I missed my Paris deadline I scrambled a bit to get it all buttoned up for our local antique/vintage rally the last weekend in June. That meant quickly bolting on the pipes and the bodyset so it was "showable" at least. Then it was pissing rain the day we were loading up bikes in an open trailer to head out for the weekend and I decided I wasn't going to get it covered in road grime before I'd even started it up. So it missed that rally as well. By then (6 months of building) the patience of my better half had worn a bit thin and I've been renovating a long-overdue bathroom since the beginning of July. I pulled the cover off the bike the other day and it's still there. Gonna have to sneak a day and put in a few hours to get it up and running. Carb adjustment and final pipe installation are really all that's left to do (I hope). I see Ari's looking for photo guinea pigs so hopefully I'll be back to complete the story with photos before long... Cheers, N.

That's great to hear. I can't wait to see pictures once we get this photo thing all sorted out.
Are you running the stock exhaust on it?

I am.
I have a set of chambers for it but decided, initially anyway, to keep it all original.
How about you - what have you got for pipes for yours?

Right on!
I'll be running the stock pipes on mine as well. I thought about buying a set of chambers because I like the look better however my stock pipes are still in really good shape and I figure with such a rare bike I'd keep it as original as I can plus or minus 1 or 2 things.
