Just my 2 cents, but the paint should be broken where the rubber gas cap seals. Necks painted like that tend to get lifting of paint from fumes.

Good tip I got my chromeit (roland), jamoo. Run an xacto blade around the bubbled paint (after filling w gas the first time) below the gas tank seal to keep the paint from lifting to the visible realm.

That's usually what I do. The painter says that he doesn't want the bare metal to rust but the first gas fill up takes care of the paint.

I just trimmed the paint back with an Exacto knife and applied a bit of Seal-All around the cut and over the exposed metal. Got the Seal-All at Cdn Tire.

Started it up today. Besides the pin hole in the float bowl of the middle carb leaking all over, it went fine. Why is it always the middle cylinder??
