well my son bought a 73 S2A from Steve in North Bay yesterday ( Friday) Almost complete but needs a motor rebuild at 13, 000 miles motor rattles real bad . Why is it they all wear out at 12,000 miles? The paint as you can see is Candy orange and looks very close to the Candy Orange on the 72 H1B. So since Colin likes the H1B Orange that's the Orange we're going with . I figure why not put NEW bearings and Crank seals in while it is apart. needs a kick start shaft as some one has welded them together . Have a spare 73 S2A bike as well . Motor siezed . Also while up there my buddy gave me some money to buy one . His motor looks like a rebuild was done not long ago( Mileage wise) with Wiseco pistons..at a mere 9,000 miles !!!! Crank looks NEWHopefully next year we will have another 2 73 350 triples around . Maybe Colin will have his ready for BikerDons next year. Ian

22,000 on my 72/H2 Ian. I was told it's all original. Yours has a way to go before it rattles like mine.

They are stuck real good!!!! Gonna put some heat to them shortly. Everything works OK ,Charging system is OK @ 16vlts . Glad of that ;D

If you're seeing 16v at the battery then it's NOT ok..... regulator isn't working.

I had to replace mine on the 73 S2A as it had the original and those early S2/S2A had bad regulators .
my old one produced 17.5 vlts The book says 15.5 VLTs max . This will do Until a S3 Regulator shows up. Ian

Just be sure the battery vent tube is routed so acid stays off the pipes.
