You're making some good progress. Kinda get that deja vu feeling reading over this build thread.[bru] N. Thanks! Funny you say that... with this being my 1st full resto I may have been using your build to help guide my path

Money well spent Jim, got mine a while ago and it saves a lot of knuckle skin for sure. Doesn't cost a penny every time you use it either. ;-)

It's laser cut, so I guess they figure they don't have to sell thousands of them to be worth it.

Still working on collecting parts to refinish before re-assembly. Pretty much there....just got my correct swing arm this week which means i can send it/frame off for paint. Anywhooo this is some of whats been happening since my last update. Powder coating came back (BIG props to Giver!!) Plus parts from the Paris meet. Air Box / Rear Pegs Finally tracked down a chain guard, tried to work out any major dents I could find..not PERFECT but it'll do.

After a few weeks of giving my poor fingers a break I went back to the aluminum to knock out another couple of my covers by hand again (Why I don't use my buffing wheels..I have no idea). All that remains now is the oil pump cover. The ignition cover had some pretty serious damage but after some light work on a belt sander I was able to get it out while still maintaining most of the original contours. The sprocket cover was in pretty decent shape. Besides some major pitting and multiple baths in the hydro sonic cleaner it was pretty straight forward.
