If you look closely, it looks like you can see where the rings were...but also from the picture, it doesn't look like 4 mm

500 cylinders are still cheap Yes John but it was very tough finding standard bore on early cylinders.

I needed fork tubes and everyone that carries them is out of stock so, I bit the bullet and paid extra to Mid Atlantic. The tubes arrived with the special tools but they forgot to send the little pins to hold on the bottom flsnge things. They finally arrived today so I should be able get a front end on this thing on the weekend. I was bored so I put the engine in the frame on Saturday while it sat on milk cartons and a bike jack. Of course, I can't call it a roller because my good front wheel has no tire on it. Now I need a rear wheel. The painter is taking a holiday til the middle of the month so that is also on hold.
The bike came with a B tank and instruments. I checked the serial numbers but it is not a C. Probably was in an accident at one point. The drama continues.

Excellent progress update. Try to stay positive. Here are some words of inspiration: 1. The b bodywork looks better than the a anyway. 2. You can always grab the rear wheel off the peacock bike. 3. Its summer time. 4. I didn't scorch your bike in Paris. 5. You're still alive!

I wanted to get it running this weekend. I needed a banjo bolt for the main oil pump feed and got one from Andy. It turns out that the threads start in a little from the front of the hole and the bolt won't bite. To the shelf for a spare and I see that the threads start at the top so I install it and the last cylinder feed hole that I try to attach is stripped and the banjo bolt just spins.
Going to try to find a little longer bolt for the main feed hole. I love it when almost everything becomes a chore. It might be nice to have just one thing work out as planned. I keep telling myself how much fun this hobby is.....

I found another pump that I had bought as a spare years ago. I'm in business.

Now I don't like to brag but I am either getting much better at this or, as most of you will say, more lucky. Added gas and oil and it started on 3rd kick. Oil pump is pumping and it feels good. Not charging though. So, brakes might be good and get it charging.

Debbie did a video but unfortunately it ended up being of the back porch and her decorative pumpkins. Very artsy.....
