Mosport is my favourite track. It's so much better since they took out those cement patches in the corners. Your bike will reach it's absolute top speed on the back straight. If you get used to the track the only place you will touch the brake lever is Moss's corner. Turn 2 is still exhilerating even though they paved the run off all the way to the tire wall..My best times were 1:46 on my Gsxr 750. It was an eye opening experience riding a modern bike..things happened a lot faster....
If you ride a 2 stroke there. never take your hand away from the clutch lever....seizures are common on the back straight ...

The Andretti straight kills more 2 strokes than the EPA.

I was watching a video with a 1000 supersport, he kept in second gear the hole track That Andretti straight is pretty long. I'd be surprised if most sport bikes didn't touch 4th gear at least if they're really trying to push it. Rick would know for sure. He rode that Gixxer there.

Ideally you want the bike to reach redline in 6th just before corner 8....

The Andretti straight kills more 2 strokes than the EPA. Isn't that where Brad blew apart the Kroeger ignition in his H1R ?

It's possible it was third, but he didn't shift Third gear would be a safe way to navigate the Old Mosport for sure!

Holy Mackinaw! Air leak or just lean?[/quote] Air leak, from what I remember, the carb cap was off or a Vacuum spigot was not plugged. Derek and I cobbled the bike together out of parts two weeks before the race.
