Well this is the very last time I prepay for track time . That,s 2 in a row now of rain on a track that does not like 2 wheel vehicles on it when its wet ... So $150 for the track , $ 150 for the truck rental , I wont rent a van because I worked in one for 45 years and it makes me sick to my gut to sit in one now . $50 for gas in rental there and back plus $20 in high test shell gas plus lunch or dinner afterwards with the guys which I do enjoy . So thats a huge cost for sitting in the rain looking at an empty track that even when the rain has stopped does not dry off and can be unsafe to whip around on a vintage bike that I cannot replace . So saying all that in rant form , I will not be going to rainuga as the weather looks like a high of possibly low with a chance of rainy sunny cloudy windy not ride a bike on the track day . I know , I just could have said I am not going and be done with it but when your on a very low fixxed income and have health issues and rarely ride your triple and look forward to some vintage bike fun , well it just burns your balls when mummy nature won't let you go out and play .
My grumpy 3 cents ...

Yeah the weather seems to be putting a damper on all of us this weekend. I kind of agree with you Rocket, it's kind of expensive to be rained out... Heck, rain cheques are made for golf courses for that reason alone! Now that it is run by the track, maybe best to take your chances on availability and wait until the long range forecast comes in before committing? I'll probably do that in the spring now they have cranked the rates a bit.

Such a shame because even tho I would not do the whole day of track time , a few runs around the circuit with no cop on your butt makes it a hell of a lot of fun . Looks like shilo's event might be a bit wet also . Sorry to see that also ... ;-)

It is Dave Horvaths. The guy who runs the vintage track days .Great guy . He gave me crap first time out on the track lol for passing wankers who were not even leaning there bikes in the turns . How is that possible I ask you . Has anyone here even gone through a corner on the bike without leaning it even a little ? I did not know that was possible until I saw someone doing that at Cayuga on a race track . I think I threw up in my helmet . I was dragging my pegs second time on the track and waving with one hand at you guys threw the last turn . The track is slow and safe other than when its freekin wet then yes , you have to keep your bike upright. So gonna really miss track time . I was really look forward to just beating me triple . Wait . I beat it every time I ride it lol . What a tough bugger it is . A diesel would blow up on me if I revved them like my triple ...

Well, I paid my money, so I'm showing up with the hope of getting a couple of laps in. The eternal optimist.

Go for it! It's going to be a high of 24, winds up to 40k so the track will dry out quick. You might get lucky like the last rain day... That was the day I mixed it up with that R6!

Go for it drew and be safe . If I did not need a rental than maybe but I guess the stars are out of alignment becuase I have to go to the hospital on Saturday to see my brother who gets a new kidney today at 10 am . He is very lucky to get one . At least 5 to 8 years of waiting for the right one . He has been on dialysis for a very long time and looks 100 years older than me even tho he is only 60.

Got one slippery, 20 minute session in this morning before the rain poured down!! The early morning looked promising, but the forecast was correct, rain by 11:30am. The 550 was running horribly as well. More fine tuning is needed. Next year!

Ya im kinda glad i decided to sit this out one.. Would have been an upset.. Although next spring Walms i should have the 500/400 race bike done.. we can settle this piston port vs reeds argument once and for all... we wont take weight difference into consideration in respects to your emotions
