Things are moving, slowly. But they are moving. Now that I have some time to get at it, questions are coming up that I'd like to throw out there for advice. To keep it simple, I'll just stick to this one thread if I have anything I think you fellas might be able to help with. So to start off,
Is there anywhere I can buy the balls and springs for the check valves?
Anywhere in Canada I can get "wiring harness" tape? (Dry vinyl tape)
Are standard length spokes the correct length for use with Excel, alloy rims? (I've emailed Buchanan's, no reply. So I phoned and got a smart arse lass who insisted I use their website. I tried to explain the non standard nature of the application, but she would have none of it! Makes me want to avoid buying anything from them)
Crankcases. After bead blasting, to paint, or not to paint?
Best buffing polish for ali? I like Autosol, but go through it pretty quick. I tried Mothers California Gold this evening, and it's rubbish! Makes a right mess and doesn't do the job well at all.
Cheers

The standard spoke(OEM) should be long enough to allow for the slightly different thickness of the Excel rim. Would not paint the cases. Hard to beat Autosol, the active agent in most chrome and alloy polishes seems to be deodorized kerosene. For nice clean and smooth surfaces you want to shine Never-Dull is easy to work with and can be a little less expensive. If I was looking for a specific wiring tape I think I would drop in and see the guys at Village Green motor car co. on the North End of Novalea Dr in HFX. Sorry no answer on the balls and springs...but I would start my search by visiting the guys at Motion Canada in Burnside.
