Yep. Stickered and running to more than my satisfaction. I ended up ditching the rubber cam cover plugs for billet ones. My crankcase is well vented but they weren't staying in place. Like the fact I don't need to downshift to go up hills. I took it to my favourite sushi joint and the japanese chef was digging it. He told me about a yamaha 250 he used to ride back home. I got extra wasabi and nice thick cuts of raw salmon sashimi.

I had to rejet the pilots to 17.5s. No more flames out of the pipe. Looks cool but not so good for the motor. Plus its nice to have tons of low end torque with no hesitation. Still feeling it out, it.goes like stink and is easier to drive than my astro van

Now that you are spoiled with the seamless power & easy riding at 10mph or 100mph it will likely get more seat time than the two strokes. Not to mention with those vintage good looks you will have a hard time keeping the crowds away when you stop. Good to here she is working well.Sweet project.

What mains are you running? The P/O of mine had 130s in it. I dropped them to 122.5 and it is still way too fat. I have a set of 117.5s to install now but, after the maiden voyage...... I have a tinny ring coming from the alternator area, pretty sure it has something to do with the starter ring gear but can't find anything obviously wrong. And apparently I had too many beers when I set the valves, had a couple of loose ones. Did I mention I hate old bikes? We do it to relax!!!!!!!!

Any updates Sir? You bet! 1. My old band from high school is back together and is now meeting about once a week, the chops are coming back fast. 2. Been doing the Wolverine Workout and Diet for about 3 months now, its awesome, google it, do it, it'll change your life. 3. Listening to new Metallica without having a gag reflex. The new album is actually decent. 4. My roof was leaking into my living room but I managed to tar it up before the snow, rain, sleet, ice pellet mix hit in earnest 5. Been reading a lot more, not internet blogs or news but actual books. Trying to get some quiet time in everyday. 6. Had a bad case of piles, but seem to have gotten over it. Unless, you are more interested in an update on this motorcycle project? Still looking for another starter motor, pretty sure my starter clutch is also close to being pooched. Haven't bothered draining the oil and tearing it apart, it still starts, just a bit iffy. My buddy gave me a kz corbin seat. It's pretty comfortable, but I think the stock seat looks better. Also, picked up a different point cover as one I have was pretty badly rashed. Have been out for the odd rip when it's nice an unsalty out.

Some of you know that this bike would have a hard time starting. Really weak turnover and slow. I've been wary of taking it out much in case I got stuck somewhere. Figured it was the high compression and/or a tired starter motor as I had a brand new battery for it after I put it together. Lots of volts so no issue there. So, swapped a new starter in. As you can see, this task requires a bit of disassembly... After putting it back together, same old sh1t. On a lark, I boosted it with a bigger battery. Boom, lots of spin and started right up. Replaced the new battery with a newer one and all is good. Moral of the story: not everything that's new is automatically good.

Nice job, one awesome bike. Me thinks I smell a new project coming up. Last winter was too boring. I need something four stroke-ish.
