Has anyone ever used auxiliary exhaust ports? I know there primarily for power valve engines, but wouldn't it help with ring life? Instead of widening exhaust ports? You don't have enough meat between cylinder liner and the cylinder studs to make aux cyl ports that actually works. But yes, in theory the 3 ex port design is the very best because of the significant increase in blow down area. Even better than bridged exhaust port. If you have a F8 Bison though, or a early S1 cylinders, you can make those ports. But it is a hell of a job to make them correct, and just putting in a 350cc gives more power. ..j. I see you have an f8, is it something you've tried?

There's a fella here in NS I know who has been making triple port cylinders for RD400's. Really nice work. Reckons they make big power. Won some American championship last year. Glyn Laraway, GPL racing.

He's really into the Yamaha's. But if you could give him the specs, he might be able to do something. He has the equipment. I've had him do work for me on a couple projects. Here's his FB page. www.facebook.com/GPLRacingAnd I'll be getting him to do me a set of pipes for my second H2. His email : gplracing@hotmail.com
