I have recently fired up my 75 h1 f after a lengthy build. I need help with two things here boys. My fuel lines will not fill up solid with fuel . Why is this? Next question is my bike will fire up without the use of the choke. Two kicks and she runs. I have not changed the jetting on these 34mm carbs and all three choke levers are in the off position when start the bike cold . Any ideas ?

It's normal to see only 1/2 full lines, so no worries there. If your bike is a bit rich on the idle circuit, it will start fine with no choke. Not a worry at this point, better rich than lean.

What have you done with the carb internals, you didn't change the jetting but did you put new jets in of same size? Did you put in a new needle/seal? Weeping seat will cause rich condition

Maybe Givr will have some jetting suggestions? He has 34's on his PP H1 and the same pipes..

Maybe Givr will have some jetting suggestions? He has 34's on his PP H1 and the same pipes.. Givr has posted he runs the less than optimal/ smallish 30mm h2 carbs. As such his setup will not apply to vm34s, as all the brass (with the exception of the pilot jets) will differ. Triplecraze, Part or your issue is likely the pilot circuit is dribbling due to the excessive lean angle of the carb. Reset your float levers to 24mm. An easy reference to get close to this is to align the center of the float lever with the center of the brass pin that locates the needle jet. BTW. You will likely need 159 series P5 Needle jets..6DH4 needles seem work well. Pilot jet size will likely be about 32.5 or 35. J

I have not changed anything internal on these carbs . I do have a set of 159 series P5 Needle jets and will install as per Scott's suggestion. I also will re- check my float heights and will use a timing light to check timing accuracy . Thanks for your help guys.
