Four months ago I hooked up my stator and magneto on my 75 h1 . When I kicked the bike over I had spark in all three cylinders. Last week I kicked the bike over and no spark at all . Not being good with electrical I looked for the obvious. Kill switch is in the on position, motor is grounded to the frame , all three coils are properly grounded , my cdi is well grounded. All other works fine ( horn , lights, brake light). I have tested my cdi unit A and B using a battery and test light ( starfire test from the board) , all works fine. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance for your help Triplecraze

The coils are only grounded through their appropriate brush in the stator when the applicable spark plug is about to fire.
The coils are supplied high voltage power all at once from the cdi, but only when the cdi is triggered by the pickups.
Recheck your wiring per the wiring diagram.
Also confirm the pickups are in good order and the air gap is properly set. The output wire should have around 130 ohms resistance to ground. (260 ohms across each pickup)

Clean all the connections.

Kill switch can be a problem on these bikes. I have no idea how to test it, but I chased a lack of spark for days until I finally dismantled the kill switch and found a solder joint had come adrift. The connections in the headlight bucket can also "look" good without being being snapped together properly.

The small box sb tested with an ohm meter. See mr Axles site or a glenns for resistance. It must be the exact number. No more. No less or its toast. If it tests ok it could be the bigger box and its a swap out as I'm not sure if its testable with meter. Theres a special tester for it . Also turn steering head to the right and try it then to the middle and left. Ive had this situation at neds in Tobermory last may. It had a broken wire in harness Make sure both boxes have good grounds. You can use.a jumper as a ground from the black wires straight to the engine

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I will go over my wire harness and check things over for a short or bad connection . I will keep you posted on my findings. Any other ideas is greatly appreciated . Thanks again. Triplecraze
