I can tell you guys with 100 % certainty that those pipes in that picture are in fact NOS never mounted DENCO H1 500 CHROME expansion chambers !! Because I JUST came back from picking them up !! Right in our back yard. They were hanging in the guys garage. As soon as I walked in I could tell they were the REAL DEAL even from a distance. I handed him the cash and then asked him about the history of the pipes ? Said he had an orange 72 H1 500 at one time. The pipes were bought new, not by him, but by some poor soul that expired several decades ago in a plane crash !! I think he got the pipes from a relative 12 years ago.If I understand correctly he had already sold his 500 and took the pipes any way.I thought maybe he had other stuff ? Nothing else.Pipes were hanging in his garage for over a decade. He figured it was time to let them go not having a bike to put them on.Well I don't post very much. But thought I would relate the experience and let y'all know that the pipes were the real deal time capsules. Thanks to our good buddy Adam AKA: CANKAW for letting me know about the pipes. Will try and see if we can get some pictures up ? I wonder just how many sets of original NOS DENCO pipes are left out there in this condition ? They look brand new and still have the stickers on them. The flanges are gold cad plated and the springs are included too.Jim was right the poor fuzzy pictures made the welds look funny.Welds are nice and clean like they should be.DENCOS

Great news! I bet they would have brought the better part of $1,000 with the right eBay description. Enjoy the hell out of them!

It has actually been a pretty good week.Besides picking up the NOS Dencos.I also found an NOS set of factory H2 750 exhaust pipes.I only got back into triples several years ago.But had one back in the mid 70'S and knew everybody else that had them then and rode with them etc... I have been contacting people I knew with them back then and asking if they have any parts left or any bikes or do you know anyone with bikes parts etc...As a result I have gotten several bikes and some interesting parts. The NOS factory H2 pipes will go on the H2 750 I am restoring. The DENCO chromies I just got will probably be conversation pieces for now.And go on a show bike in the future ? I have another NOS set of H1 DENCOS in black for my H1 500.They were on the bike I bought that was being restored that were never run.I took a picture of the NOS DENCOS next to the NOS factory H2 pipes I will try and post the picture.Interestingly enough one of the triple guys I used to ride with has a younger brother. He JUST bought ONE of the new 300 HP H2R'S of the TWO only were available in Canada.I have not seen it yet.Don't know where the second H2R went ?
