Well it seems like guys will pay 10k for a 72 H2.... So something that is truly rare should fetch double that! Then again all of the above are nuts IMO ;D but I never buy toys as an investment, if I wanted to make money there are easier ways for sure. Plus I don't get all sentimental about old stuff which helps! That doesn't mean I don't appreciate old stuff, I just don't think it's any more special after 20 years. If I were to spend money like that on a 2 stroke bike, I'd start with a sled motor and blow that little Suzuki off the road!

I love these old 2 strokes but they are useless to me if I cant ridem, so paying 20,000 for Art just does not make sense to me, paying 20,000 grand for something I'm going to wheelie up and down the street does not makes sense to me either, beating the crap out of something that is so cool does not make sense either, so I can honestly say I'm confused ;D

The answer to my confusion is some one needs to start making 2 stroke motorcycles again and not these fag RDs yamaha is coming out with next year

I agree Andrew. When I really got started into bikes, there were a lot of 2 strokes around but the new thing was the BIG in line 4 cylinder 4 strokes. I even went that root for years. But now hardly anyone knows what a 2 stroke is and even fewer know the potential. There is nothing like blowing the paint off a new "sport" bike with an old, smokey, noisy 2 stroke to make people guessing.

A friend of mine poured a concrete floor for this gentlemen last year. He sent me a couple of cell phone pics of the contents of the garage. This RG is just the tip of a very large, smoky iceberg. 'George' seems to have an example of just about every 80's stroke there is! Does he ever make it out to any shows? I'd love to meet him and maybe get an opportunity to check out one of his bikes.

Valves? What valves? I know a dealer that has a Walter Wolf on display in his shop and I'll check with him as to what he thinks a good price is. He is not about to part with his and there is no way he would be parting it out. The guy that sold it to him is still kicking himself.

I have one in my living room, 14,000kms, just signed by Walter, original tires with japanese air still in them, if you must have something thats no longer available and made in limited numbers then its not a case of what its worth but what is an acceptable price to have it in your possession , different for everyone, i always make a point of riding any bikes i have but havent ridden this one... yet, i spoke to the original owner who is 70 now. anyone with a sack of $$ and an urge can contact me
