Beautiful restoration job. I had a 1968 A7SS. Really a beautiful bike and very powerful. I used to drag race it at Utica Rome (NY) the summer of 1970 and was runner up for top eliminator almost every week. A Honda dealer had a modified 750 that would blow by me just before the finish line on the final. Loved that bike but it went thru the 1972 Flood in Elmira NY and I never go it put back together. ... Sorry guys, I haven't been spending any time on the A7 or even checking the forum lately due to the death of my Dad. Dealing with his estate and selling the house etc. etc. has taken all of my free time for the last couple of months. I will keep you posted when I get back to the project. John

I finally got a new fuel tap installed and the lines connected. I filled the trans with 1.2 l of Belray gearsaver. I put 5 l of 20-1 premix in the tank so there's lot of oil until the oil pump is bled. Two kicks and away she went. Checked the timing and it was spot on but I think I'm going to need to richen the idle mixture screws as the idle sounds little flat/lean. Good to have it running though. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wR1tAOgBlNU&feature=youtu.be

From what I saw this weekend Ian, they are both going to be awesome looking. I still may have some donor parts from that A7SS if either of you guys need anything.
Johnny C that thing is inspiring. Nice work.

Thanks guys, last thing on the list is to get the seat done. There's some patch work to do on the base and I have a new cover. The foam is in rough shape so I may have to go to an upholstery shop for that part. I'm still considering putting the original chrome rear fender back on it instead of the newer style stainless steel fender. The original needs a little straightening and to be re-chromed.
