I finally got my EX front brake caliper on... holy crap what a difference!!! Stopping is not just a suggestion anymoe...lol The brake I bought on flea bay came with the stock brake line (thanks for the bonus buddy) I was able to set it up for a test run with it but it bi-passes the brake light sensor. Are these flex lines with banjo fittings on both ends a common commodity some where? Did I mention I'm a cheap SOB...

Russell makes a universal line, just measure the length you need and order it...usually about $30.00/ line Available at any bike shop

I used S3Steve's design... A machinist I know owed me a favour. ;D It needed to be massaged to fit properly, I found the offset was off by about 1/8" but the placement was spot on! For the H2, the adapter looks allot easier to make and the upgrade is absolutely worth the $35...lol For the first time I'm worried about locking up the front end...

Various fitting types and angles are available. Don't forget to consider the additional length the fittings add when ordering the lines for your installation. The EX conversion has to be the best mod to do to a triple! JaMoo's bracket (from KTW)works well and is easy to make J

lc made the bracket that is posted on the resource site... I would think you could even go to Canadian Tire to get the the flat bar required... It's just made of a short link of flat bar... kawtriple.com/mraxl/caliper/conversions.htmMaybe lc has a better drawing for you...

That's what motivated me...lol Let's put it this way, it's good I had some flat track experience to fall back on. BTW no more resonance on the front end either... even without the front fender. Woo hoo!!!

Sorry for the ignorance, but what are "Russell" brake lines? I need a new set of brake pipes for my KH400 restoration & so far have not found any at reasonable cost.. MarkB.

"Russell" is a manufacturer of aftermarket flexible (stainless steel braiaded) motorcycle brake lines. They come pre assembled with a flare nut on each end and start about 6 inches long and work up to several feet. Various fittings are available to thread on to each end depending on your installation's requirements. They also provide a firmer feeling brake lever as they do not expand as much as the rubber lines when pressure is applied. Most motorcycle shops can supply Russell lines. J

OK, I'm going to buy a Ninja caliper off eBay...does the EX250 front work the same as an EX500 (and does the year matter?) ? These things seem to go quite cheap, but I don't want to buy one I can't use. The plan is to install it on the H2. Also, can it be installed on the front of the fork tube (left side) to avoid speedo issues? Finally, I don't have access to any machine shop, should I buy a bracket off Ben on KTW?
