Well you guys won't believe this BUT the shifting problem was a ..... are you ready...cause I never saw this even on Monday morning when I first looked at it . The problem was a rock caught under the shift linkage between the Frame and exhaust . This explains why I could shift up BUT not down and on occasions it would shift down it felt crunchy. Drew Givr gave up at Trafalgar Because Sandra was upset that I was MIA . I guess her nerves weren't the best at that point . So Givr decided to drive . I think his arse felt much better ;D

Yes, it was a nice change getting off the buzz-o-matic butt destroyer. ;D Gotta admit I feel like a much better rider after all the miles we did. Now it seems everyone on the road drives too slow and I have no qualms about riding in the rain. I'll be trippling to work EVERY day from here on in.

Great shots!
That last one was about the time I had visions of tornadoes dancing through my head.. I pinned my ears back, lay on the tank and just screamed that H2 home. You know what? It runs really great at a steady 6 grand. The plugs look better than I have ever seen them! It was 200 miles from that place to my house -- I filled up in Brantford (after hitting reserve) and made it home with about half a tank left.

The lowest mileage I got was going from the boarder to the Mackinaw bridge. A good head wind caused me to get 22 mpg. Averaged about 30-36 mpg and up to 40-45 mpg at times

Averaged about 30-36 mpg and up to 40-45 mpg at times I was a steady 9 liters per 100km... (31mpg) I liked riding at 120km the best. My bike Rev's at 7k and was on the pipe. I was able to maintain the speed at a 1/4 throttle which saved a ton of oil (about 1/4 cup from Tobermory to the Sault) I was paranoid I had a kink in my oil line at first glance Although being on the pipe didn't help the mileage much.

Too bad the truck wasn't as reliable as the bikes

I can't believe Rb and John had that drive shaft out in what 20 minutes .
When RB was under the truck , John took the emerg brake off ..CLUNK was the sound and I thought RB crapped his pants .
What a team those 2 made...installed in about the same time or slightly less.
