I'm more for recycling when I can. When I went paris this year, your bike was the only one I saw... I have pictures with my kids next to it..lol Ha! Great story! The Mongrel is sorta easy to pick outta a crowd. I'm all for recycling as well. I will look for some 'lightly used' parts, but they've got to be 'right' though.

Yup, pretty cool, but I'm afraid the RS125 would be a little small (narrow?) for the h2.

Rick has an Rs125 fairing on the F7.To narrow for sure.As I am old,I lean towards the older style fairings. The newer styles (from 1989 up)all start to look the same.I feel the spirit of the project would be lost with a newer style fairing. Brad

Well, I think I have figured out what I want for a fairing on the Mongrel: It's off a Suzuki SV 650. Race version. I saw one at TMSP last month and REALLY liked it. I think it'll look great with the Ducati 'replica' seat. Now, all this has me thinking I should freshen up the engine in the 'old girl'. She's still running the original factory crank! I have a set of 1st oversize Wossners collecting dust, so, I guess it's time! Rebuilt crank, Wossners and maybe a little 'mild' porting to add a little 'spice'?

Crazy day today. Super busy morning but I popped in on a friend this aft to talk about the possibility of tracking down my sv 650 fairing. I actually fell into possession of that exact fairing! A good deal and brand spanking new!! When does THAT happen?? Too busy for pics, so, please stand by... Now... if only a new crank would drop into my lap...
