I am looking at Crusty and there is a single plate rectifier wired in but just sitting in the battery box. Looking at the wiring diagram on the resources site for this bike, there is no rectifier. I assume that the regulator is both rectifier and regulator. Can anyone cast some light on this? Should this rectifier be there?

OK, it's not a rectifier but a diode to stop discharging. ( thanks Z) Where the heck does it mount?

I don't see the little rectifier in the pic Steve. I thought I read where the rectifier was not used with that regulator Dave? My bad, I had it bass ackwards as usual.. In this pic it looks like it fastens to the top of the regulator doesn't it???

I tend to think it is the TOP with the orientation in the photo. But, my brains is screaming, It will be too high up and hit the seat etc... Maybe it is the bottom, you will have to experiment I guess. Hope all this helps Dave.

I was under the impression that it didn't come on the early H2's BUT it was a common mod off the later bikes to stop the battery from draining..?
