Fwiw, Drew's Kawi 550 was faster than Dave's GS750. I was up his butt everywhere!

Looks like you guys had a great time out there. Now you have some respect for the little diesel.Nothing gives you a sick feeling like watching the tork of a four stroke leave you behind(on your two stroke)after pulling out of a slow corner.Teaches you how to carry more speed & keep it in the power band. Know what you mean about being stuck on the track broke down until you get a bike pick up on a hot day. The corner workers usually keep water for us during a race. Looks like a fantastic feast too.Sorry I missed it.Been in Florida for three weeks to close the house. I hope to be at the next track day.

Actually torque coming out of the corners wasn't a problem at all.

The 550 ran great until "Seaglider" blew the head gasket in our last session!! Just kidding. It was blowing some nice blue smoke on the down shifts when I was following him on his zrx. I'm sure my revving it to 10 grand multiple times every lap before that session had nothing to do with the gasket issue. The 550 was great. Lots of 'git up and go' and it handled really good. No issues all day long. Compared to both Givr's and Walms' 500 Triples on that particular day, it really depended on how well we were set up for the drive out of the corner. Both of those Triples are very fast so I had to be in the right gear and getting the revs up early. The kz was able to stay with lots of bikes out there, but there were some smaller 250's that were really quick too. So, gonna make some repairs and 'adjustments' for the next session. Should be another great day in September lads. I have one video shot on the GoPro from the rear of the kz. Givr and Walms were behind me for a potion of that vid. I'll see if I can edit it down to something manageable in a week or so. I'm on holidays this week.

The KZ550 is definitely fun and powerful for its size....now Drewski did blow by me on it with the ZRX which was probably why it the KZ started leaking oil (massive pressure wave as he went by). I did get a pic of Walms running out of gas...or at least it looks like it as he seems to be standing it up in the corner

It's the force field from that big concrete wall you are standing behind that stands my bike up... Weirdest thing I've ever seen!
