From what I saw, you guys should be in medium.

I asked for medium but if that's not possible, slow.

Tough question! In the slow class last fall, 80% of us were on the same page but there were a couple slow moving targets out there and with no passing on the infield, it was a bit like driving the 410 at times (if you followed the rules) From what I saw, the medium class was about the same speed as us, maybe slightly faster.

Just remember that the "medium group" will fill up fast, so get your registration in asap. I'm gonna try for that group becaune Seaglider will be there with his zrx and he's a veteran-track-day-guy! He'll be lapping the field if he's in the beginner group! The fun won't be determined by the speed of the group, but by the quality of the guys in the group! There will be fun times no matter which group you end up in!

My take on it is, it's better to be one of the slower guys in your group than the fastest because it will be a better learning experience. There were just a couple guys in the slow group last year that needed to be there, the rest could have been in the medium group without being a liability. I'm also pretty sure that you could be bumped down if you are too slow.

I have a pair and they are comfy! A prerequisite for the track is to have a suit that fastens to the pants tho. Dave said I could use a safety pin but it would be the last fookin time! When he said that, I had a zipper installed on my leather pants. Lol
