And with the wifes approval... Im going to put my wood working skills to good use this long cold season and build a new trailer, dual purpose, bike hauler and sleeping quarters. The wife said if thats the case, then it better be a vintage '40's style tear drop. Cool, then so be it. 5x10 lots of room to haul the bike and sleep, no more tent for me. Cheers

Kewl beans! I doubt you'll regret it! Although my trailer isn't a custom, it's great for rallies. I'm currently inking a deal for a car to keep my lil misses happy happy when I borrow her car to use the trailer...

All I need is to weld in my subframe connectors, Crown Vic front brakes, a set of air shocks and trailer hitch... I already have a J302 with 1-5/8" shorties and 2-1/2" exhaust. With the stock can, she'd be a towing beast! Only if the Edge gives up the ghost though eh!

and some more; It`s coming along, the interior is 95% done , just need to finish off the exterior, trim, stain, a gazillion coats of varnish, utility box up front, fenders appropriate wheels, pull out loading ramp, weather proof the hatch, battery, converter, solar charger, a basic blow up mattress and a flag pole to hoist my kawi flag.......... . Couldn`t find pics of the frame? anyway it is a 1973 mint, North-Lander, galvanized boat trailer, real nice rig got it for basically gas money. The marker lights are nos vintage, and the tail lights are 1927 reproduction Ford pick-up truck lights, nice touch I thought for a vintage reproduction tear-drop style trailer. That`s it for now,(should really be building and H1 or H2, maybe next year ) cheers

Very cool and great work! Now you're going to need a retro tow vehicle! Lol! LOL, I thought of that, `40`s woody waggon, or a `53 Ford Pick-up, that`d be killer. Pipe dreams for sure........... thanx for the comments guys, it`s been fun so far, but tedious, originally drew up plans, but they were quickly dismissed, I`m more of a figure it out as I go kind of person, with these types of projects, it`s more funner. Posted by daffey1 2 hours ago Nice work. Very intense project. I can't work with wood at all. (I`m the same way with steel/metal) It`s like working with steel but softer, and glue works way better with wood.
