Where do I find these, I check the diablo site and no listing. Mine need replacing they`re kind of pitted and worn, the jets look fine I`ll stick with them for now. 4EJ4-3 needles is what I`m after.
cheers.

There are a lot of places that list parts, that are NLA. Give em a shot, but I don't think there will be any joy.

Has anyone sorted out the equivalent current mikuni part that is still available? Any clues in the part number itself?

Sudco has a good chart that gives not only dimensions but where on the needle the measurments are taken from. If one has a good micrometer they could measure the stock needles and compare the findings to the chart and see what needle is closest.

Ok what I`ve discovered, as mentioned the part is no longer made, fine. I have found some nos stuff but at 20-30bucks a pop!! nutz. Sudco makes rebuild kits for these s2 carbs @50bucks for 3 sets, are these good kits or crap. I`d be more inclined to go this route and have spares. I remember getting needles for my h2b back in `05 at 3.50 ea, my how prices have rocketed.

The only thing good in those kits are the gaskets and float needle. Ivan makes a kit for the S3 which is the same as the S2s S3/A S3 Mikuni VM26SC 24.5-26.5mm 26.0-28.0mm #85 Reverse 220 #O-2/4mm #4EJ4-3rd #22.5 #2.0 KH400 KH4 Mikuni VM26SC 24.5-26.5mm 26.0-28.0mm #77.5 Reverse 220 #O-6/4mm #4EJ4-3rd #20 #2.5 S2 S2J1 Mikuni VM24SC 25.5-27.5mm 27.0-29.0mm #85 Reverse 220 #O-2/4mm #4EJ4-3rd #25 #2.0 S2A S2U-0 Mikuni VM24SC 24.5-26.5mm 26.0-28.0mm #85 Reverse 220 #O-2/4mm #4EJ4-3rd #25 #2.0 www.ivansperformanceproducts.com/s3.htm

$5-8 is what I've paid at Sudco for Keihin needles... It's been a while. Can you find a genuine mikuni crossover? If so, I'd go that route over after market... I have heard good reviews from Ivans kits as well.

Couldn`t find a cross reference to suggest a replacement or close match for either jet or needle jet. I did find Ron Ayers who has original parts, 3 needles and 3 jets, $130 plus shipping? or Ivans for $250+ shipping. Anyone deal with Ron Ayers Cycle before. good or bad, are the parts genuine or repackaged junk reproductions, one needs to be careful these days. The search continues.

If they are for stock carbs, there are no new ones......... I must be near blind, just saw this.... thanx for the good news,... but what does one use instead, there must be an equivalent or close match that would work with an appropriate needle jet??

Well, Ivan's do have new needles made, but they are a custom taper. But nothing but NOS stock ones, that seem to be very rare to non existent. You might try to find some good used ones.
