I found decent reproductions on flea bay. Not too expensive, baffles are there too but not cheap.

How did it turn out

Well I welding these strips in to hide the gap and create a channel between them and the brace for my wires to run through! The electrical battery and oil tank will all be hidden under that tail piece. Which can be removed by 2 wing nuts for the seat and 2 wing nuts for the tail peice. The jb weld is just to smooth it out and will be sanded smoothed and painted the color of the frame Well im defiantly no upholsterer hence the "no stitching required" design! but it will do the trick for the look im going for! Thanks to an old H1 seat for donating the foam! ignore the metal rod with the eyelet its only wedged in there to hold the tail piece untill the support bracket is made

going to look the bee's knees when you get that thing ready for my test and tune ride this coming spring. I have owned H2's so long it was a big learning curve to get my head back into 500's...man they are snotty hair raising bikes when on the pipe. nice mitch.
