Great movie. Hope to get down to Philip Island one day and see a motorcycle race. VRRA was trying to get a Canadian team together a couple years ago. Not sure what happened to that. Maybe we make that some kind of long term plan....to make it to New Zealand and Australia with some of our vintage bikes....some for the street and maybe even track! Now that would be fun while Canada is suffering through winter I met a couple back in mid October that we're getting ready to leave on their bikes to ride as far south as they could then take a boat to Brazil and ride in Brazil for a month, then leave there and go somewhere else warm, plan to be back in Ontario around middle to end of May and then ride all summer/fall in ontario

It is a daily diary of the adventure from Colorado riding thru SA and back. All the stops, difficulties, confrontations, pleasures.

Well this thread is about Dave Crussel so here's a look at his collection of race bikes and a great article that Lc passed on to me. This is a dedicated guy who spent years putting together the worlds biggest collection of original H2r's and Kr 750's along with many other great race bikes. Not long now till Dave and the American team go back to Philip Island for the big challenge race on some Canadian built bikes. www.mcnews.com.au/dave-crussells-kawasaki-collection/

More news on Dave's racing adventures.
Here is some more info I collected on the Philip Island race coming up on January 22nd. Wish I was going.
Eight riders from each country will be chosen to race in the Classic, two races on Saturday January 22, 2016, and two on Sunday. The American team is heavy on the two-stroke TZ750 weaponry, with a handful of Dennis Curtis CMR-chassied four-strokes along plus a pair of hot Kawasaki KZ Superbikes. Graeme Crosby will lead the Kiwi team and is putting together a formidable crew, determined to turn their performance up a notch; while Dave Crussell is recruiting a US outfit.
Rule changes have been introduced to allow for the Irish, with a maximum of eight riders from each country in each race – rather than the previous ten – making a rip snorting field of 40 for the four six- lap races.
International Challenge rules allow for bikes manufactured between 1973-1984, and for capacities ranging from 350-1300 cc. Points from the top five scorers in each national team will go towards the final tally.
Special guests for 2016: former racer Paul Smart, chassis gurus Steve and Lester Harris, as well as David Hailwood, son of former nine-time world grand prix champion Mike Hailwood. Organisers expect to surpass last year’s record roll call of 340 riders on over 520 bikes.
Enjoy:

There was talk of sending a bunch of fast Canadian riders/bikes down. Not sure what happened but probably the cost was too much. The UK has a strong team with current TT riders. Amazing machinery they are running down there.

I know Dave has been after one bike for the last 10 years.... I wonder if this is it. Who's bike is that Paul? Looks like it's been resting a while.

The automotive world calls it a 4 link, but I'm sure the motorcycle world named it after someone.
