I'm new to kawasaki triple canada what a great site to be on. Trying to attach photos of my project .can anyone tell me what size of round slide carbs are best for my bike. I have Weisco pistons 61.5mm bore. Ports have just been cleaned up ,nothing crazy. Will post some pics soon . I really need some help on this. I have machined aluminum plates to take rubber mounts for bigger carbs. Thanks all.

34's are big for a port clean up. You are a bit stuck, as 30's would be fine, but they don't make them. So 32's would probably work.

Welcome to the board! You will want 34 mm VM's +1 The carbs you want are the VM34-168 or VM34-275, or a combo of both. The difference between the two is the airscrews are located on the opposite side when comparing the two carbs. Replace the supplied needle jet with a 159 series P5 and the rest of the jetting will be close, but likely still slightly rich... Niche Cycle Supply has these for US$99. each.. J

Welcome to the board triplecraze. Looking forward to seeing your bike. Most of the guys here set up an account with Photobucket or similar site and upload your photo's there. Then you can just link to your pictures when you do a posting. Seems several people have issues with posting picks directly to the board. How would 32mm round slide carbs work. I'm looking for good low to good mid range power , I really appreciate your help. I can't wait to fire this baby up Since the prototype H1 actually ran 30s the 32s would run OK with mufflers and stock ports. What exactly is your setup? IE are you running functional expansion chambers? Fitting working chambers almost always sacrifices mid range for increased top end power. Many here running 500s equipped with functional pipes and essentially stock porting run the VM34s. Flipsk 12 and scrambler73 (who's "Denco" 500 engine has only a 1.8mm ex lift and a corrected compression ratio accordingly) both run the small body 34mm sled carbs. You are about to spend $500+ on carbs, rubber manifolds and brass. Why would you want to limit yourself for any future developments with 32s, which cost about the same as the 34s ? J

Have to agree with lc. Unless they're free, 32's probably aren't worth it. Check used snowmobile parts/ wreckers for 34's. I have a set of those on my bike

Check used snowmobile parts/ wreckers for 34's. I have a set of those on my bike The trouble with this is by the time you change out the Float valve (sled carbs are pressure fed and have a small orifice), Needle, Needle jet, and possibly slides for the req'd parts you have now GREATLY exceeded the US$99 cost of brand new VM34s! Larger carbs "mainly" enhance top RPM capability. Big carbs in stockish porting (no pipes) is not supported by the port timing or size.
With larger carbs (on piston ports) you need a more deft throttle hand, as whacking it open from lower rpms will produce a much more pronounced bog as vacuum drops more drastically. This is accentuated by many expansion chambers designed for more higher rpm power.
And as far as I know, Tony Nicosia (per talking to him) did almost all the prototype testing of the first 500's in the states, and never mentioned any carbs larger than 30's were tried, and dropped because of the fuel mileage.
As I posted if you are looking for a bit more power, and more torque (with stock porting) 30's would be best. Now,if in the future, you are going to be doing heavy porting, pipes and such, then just deal with the 34's until then. And even then 32's will support any porting up to stage III.
