This is what I use. The wrist pin gets pulled into the tool which has different adapters. rt

One thing that almost always happens (no matter how careful you are) when taking out the clip, it will raise the aluminum a tiny bit, and the pin doesn't want to come out. If you take an exacto or the like,and deburr around the clip groove, the pin will usually push right out.....

Often varnish accumulates just outside the area where the rod end bearing resides on the piston wrist pin, this tends to bind when it meets up with the piston material. Some wrist pins simply fit tight while others do not. I am certainly glad to have a tool in these cases. Mine is a (Suzuki I believe) factory tool with many years use in a shop environment. The tool is way better than tapping the things apart or together. Some guys will warm the piston up with a heat gun prior to inserting the wrist pin which works pretty slick too when needed. Many ways to approach tight fits. The little notch often found at the piston snap ring grooves when used with the right dental pick helps to avoid marring the wrist pin bore like Ja-Moo mentioned.

I've use a 3/8 nut driver or socket to push the pin out . You'll have to brace the piston somehow while you are tapping on the nut driver . In the case of being seized or a tight fit , I think the heat it up routine should work for you .
