Once your off the big devided highways, there are oodles and oodles of highways that have little traffic and lots of twisties and hills, and then you have the costal roads, and the average temps in the summer is around 25 to 28 degrees, no overheating problems here... Like I said in "My daily ride" that is my daily ride to work not my road I use to have fun on. And by the way, Congrats on your over 10,000 posts Walms

Love side cars, always wanted to try being the monkey, but have to fight with my daughter as she wants to be the monkey. The wife is not too thrilled about it though. If your serious about the Monkey ride just check with the VRRA this summer to see if their "Try The Track" event will be on in 2014. Read their web page as they can offer you that chance at The Canadian Tire Motorsport Park: (From the site) "we also offer the chance to ride the same track as a sidecar “monkey” in an authentic sidecar racing rig-with training of course! Cost is $20.00/per person for either motorcycle or sidecar riders. All proceeds go to support “Big Brothers, Big Sisters”, our charity of choice" www.vrra.ca/?page_id=1611I hope Rick will have this one ready to go.

That sounds like a great plan but here in N.S. unfortunatly the vintage scene is going the way of the dodo bird. Even the ARL is having a hard time filling the grids. This year the amature sport bike and super bike classes, except for super bike weekend, normaly only has about 6 to 8 bikes running each with a few riders doing both classes.A far cry from even 5 years ago when we used to have nearly full , 15 or so bikes, running in each class. We even lost our Vintage Bike Weekend which would see riders from Ontario and Quebec taking part. I guess it's just another sign of the times...

Just as well I didn't make it then... For sure I'd be on the list of guys that ruined it for everyone! I don't see the point in putting around on a race track???
