I've reverse engineered splined shafts and gears in boring mill heads plenty of times... This wee little shaft is no big deal. UNI gear in Montreal would make that sucker with their eye's closed.

That dry clutch with the huge seal looks like a big leak waiting to happen. Think of the surface speed at that seal!

Would your 3D printer handle this Jim?

Would your 3D printer handle this Jim? Im pretty sure the 3D printers are capable of reproducing it, but have you ever seen a video of a hand gun made with one, exploding in the users hand? Got to be a lot of stress on a high speed hub like that no?

I was thinking the printer could make a wax mould for an investment casting, or a plastic mould to make the wax mould.

+1 A casting run of dry clutch covers and hubs would be great. love to have a couple of each. Costing time!

I'm telling you right now, it will be 100 times harder than anticipated. There is a reason they haven't been reproduced.

Would your 3D printer handle this Jim? Sure, no problem. How many do you want? It's really handy though. Here's a Porsche CDI unit with a printed connector shell we made:

I'm definately on your customer list if you succeed making such a kit with an affordable prize tag! But hey, must be without that awful Ducati sound. Can you do that ;-)

No, it's not rocket science, nor is it as easy as scanning in a cover and 3d copying it. You could probably get your first test cover in under 15 grand......
