It's funny how the world seems to get smaller and smaller the older you get. My Dad used to run the lawnmower/small engine rebuild shop for Canadian Tire back in 1960-1970 at Young and Davenport. When Canadian Tire "imported" the Kawasaki line, there was a lot of problems with engine siezures if the break in period was not followed to a "T". Dad was rebuilding engines left , right and center until Canadain Tire dropped the Kawasaki line in late 1967 or 1968. Then Fred Deeley picked it up and the rest was history. Dad would rebuild a bike and drive it home to Aurora to make sure it was fine before returning it to the customer. I saw 100's of these in the driveway at home when I was a kid.
