That's my dirt bike, it was stolen a few months ago.
Pretty odd that it is free, concidering blown up CR 125s can still sell for a few hundred bucks... you get an ownership?

good score Mike..Most dirt bikes even Motocross bikes never ever had ownership papers . We just gave the owner a bill of sale. Ownership papers may have came later on??

This thing needs a throttle cable and slide and of course many other things . How do I know the exact model , year and make to order the right part's . Is there a number somewhere under all that rust that I should be looking for ?

From what I found on the web I think it is an 1985 . Later models have a rear disc brake as this one has a shoe .

You might have an issue with the swing arm bolt there mike. they had a nasty tendency to seize and getting out is a REAL pain. Nice bike when all done though ;D

Thanks for the heads up Ian and thanks to you other guys too . Now if I can just dig up some secret dough to get it running . I found the numbers like Paul said . They are on the engine case down by the front sprocket .

You might have an issue with the swing arm bolt there mike. they had a nasty tendency to seize and getting out is a REAL pain. Nice bike when all done though ;D you got that right! Tommy's 1978 YZ125, It took me two weeks to free up one of those. Be patient. Diesel fuel is a must. I soaked, and soaked it. It took many hours of pounding, carefully. Two weeks later it moved... or at least the last hit made a different sound. I had to preserve those threads at all costs. I drilled a hole in the centre of the bolt, then a little bigger one that would accept my punch pin. I destroyed about 3 of them, and all my punches, but I got it out in one piece. Pressure washers have a unique way of forcing water into spots that would normally not see much moisture. I still remember the feeling when it moved. I ran into the house to tell the boy the good news.

I still remember the feeling when it moved. I ran into the house to tell the boy the good news. That's so silly -- But I can relate..After months of banging the pistons on my 400, and finally making a "jacking bar" and a bolt to torque down on top of the piston..one day I heard a sound! Almost sounded like a little snap..and I was convinced something moved. I was so excited my wife thought the cheese had slipped right off my cracker.. ;D
