OK guys, next year me and Denise are getting married on May 21st, we are going to honeymoon in the USA and Canada, We hope to arrive in Traverse on the the 23rd or 24th of May then leaving for Canada on the 26th ish, first stopping at Mackinac for one night, the plan is to take the same route as the Huron tour guys did, then to carry on to Niagara Falls and back into the USA via Detroit
So we would like to get the chance to meet some of you (again or for the first time) Ideally would be if someone over there could organise a restaurant so we could get together one evening to eat
We do not plan to do huge miles each day, as we want to enjoy your country, I do not know where the best place is to do this and would leave it up to you guys to figure the best area
I think we will take 3_4 days from Mackinac to the Falls (if it takes 6 days that's fine, we have 16 days all told) and spend a night there
I leave the ball in your court now guys, if its to much to do that's fine and I will arrange to meet one or two individually
Also any suggestions of places to visit on the way would be welcome

Looking at hotels now and it looks like we will spend 2 nights there, to meet at the Falls would be cool, but it may be difficult for some so we could meet others on the way, Denise has wanted to go to Canada most of her life, this is going to be a blast 
any suggestions for a hotel with the best view would be good ;D

The guys in that part Of Ontario will set you up with some nice ares to see.

If you plan on staying at the falls, book during the week, weekend hotel prices double, and the crowds are a bit excessive. Meeting there would be pretty cool. Taking hwy 20 from Hamilton is a nice ride. |

Taking nothing away from the huge province which is Ontario, a trip down East to the Maritimes would be a great thing I think Carl. 1st week of June is lobster season in Prince Edward Island and the hospitality is 2nd to none. A jaunt up around the Cabot Trail, in Nova Scotia (New Scotland to you) would be awesome as well. If you choose to swing out East, I could hook you up with some folks to steer you right.  You can imagine I know where most of the good eating places are eh? III |

Congratulations Karl! I'll be looking forward to it!! So many nice places you can go. My personal favs in southern Ontario are The Muskoka's, Georgian Bay area, up near Lou in Perth/ Smith Falls, The Thousand Islands of course "The County" of Prince Edward ;D
We are scattered all over the place but we are all used to the commute.
Give us an idea the type of place you want to stay. Would you prefer a bed and breakfast sort of place, posh hotel, cabin on the lake, camp at the race track? ;D

WOW you boys a fast (but you cant play pool ;D ) looking through all the ideas, it looks like we would need 3 months going to have a good long look at the links posted, we are definitely doing the Falls, its before or after we can fit places in
