I had the condensed Tweed weekend. ;D I'm sure I missed a beauty ride today, hope there were no mishaps! Got some pics to share. Started out at the Tim's in Port Perry, had to wait an hour for Steve. ;D So I chatted up the local Harley contingent. Steve and I stopped in Marmora for a little break, found this beach right off the highway. Steve gets the appetizer 6 pack stowed safely. Meet the boys at Ian and Sandra's. Ari's 73 H1 and the Dude's B Went for the twisty road run out by Deloro. I cracked my left chamber mount, and it was swaying pretty good. Here we are stopped for yet another Tim's break. The mileage on Zambia's "new" 69 H1. I went to bed at midnight, knowing I needed to get up for 6am. Lo and behold at 3am, drunken buffoons try finding their spots in the tent and by 3:30am the snoring was peaking. The sound; A combination of mid-frequency throat oscillation with gagging, mucous enhanced gasping. I tried plugging my ears but there was no F888ing way I could sleep through it. ;D So I get up, sit by the fire, have a cup of tea and get my stuff together. It was dam cold, probably 2-3°C. By 5am I'm ready to go, so I push my bike so the exhausts are pointed to the flotilla of tents in the field. Fire up, and the old girl took a lot of enrichening to warm up! I clear out there with sufficient revving so as to ensure everyone is wide awake. ;D I had to stop in every town to warm my hands, dew soaked crappy gloves were like an ice block. However, the bike ran like a champ, and didn't let me down. Unbelievable star watching last night, no moon or clouds. Just the unfiltered heavens above. Breathtaking. The boys are most likely partying down heavy right about now. I wish I was there, but I really need some sleep.....

the exhausts are pointed to the flotilla of tents in the field. Hahahaha They tought so ;D ;D ;D
I hear Guvr bike idling away and then we heard him way off into the distance .. Sad not ..Mikes H1 broke down in Northport ..bad metalsounding noise and it locked up after kicking it over . We headed to walms parents place while Mike waited for Sandra to pick him and his bike up. On the way home from the Sandbanks Walms passes at a good speed, The Roland and then Wheeliehappy. Just a short time later we come upon WheeliHappy. Bike quit . No compression and a holed piston . A call home brought Mike to the rescue . At Tweed the H1B quits on III Upon inspection the red charging wire came unplug. IIIs happy ;D On a real sad note while a few of us were in Cherry valley getting a drink and harley guy (older gentlemen) stop to see if Walms and Karl were Ok. He left with his side stand down and had an accident. 3 cruisers and a ambulance. Hope the guy is OK Now time for beer and food ;D

I wish I was there, but I really need some sleep..... When your at a triples meet, the sound of that engine starting at 5:00am was like a sweet dream in the night. It's the best sounding engine. Then we could hear you shifting down Sulphide Rd. toward the hwy. It was so quiet out that I think I could even hear you turning north on the highway by the Tims. Then it was back to reality. Trying to plug my ears while trying to sleep with a GRIZZLY BEAR in the tent. ;D ;D ;D Oh well, I've been told I snore too.
Oh yea givr. Sorry if I woke you when I had that coughing fit in the middle of the night. I think I was choking on too much beer and chips or something. I made it home "real tired out" around 10:30pm. Great time, thanks Ian and Sandra. Awsome hosts.

I will take my technical help over to the General board and keep it out of rides and events but as an update TIT, Andrew just left 10 or 15 min ago, I pulled the head off the left cyl, yep, perfect hole in the center just as, I think it was Curtice said, like some one took a cigarette and burned a hole down the center i'm going to take another head off see if I can see any markings indicating an over size or not, I'm hoping now. When the GF gets home i'll get some pics of the piston. :-).
once again guys it was fun and thanks for all the help and explaining what was going on and how to go about fixing the problems

next post after this relative to the melted piston will be on the general board,, took off the right side head yippee it has not been bored out at all( if it was it would be marked on the piston right?). Thanks Ian for the Standard size piston, I think its going to work out ok.
