Cool story Ian! Felt like I was there, wait a minute..... ;D
Walms, Sandra and I could add a few paragraphs to the "back in Canada" part.
...It was a dark and stormy night, thunderstorms rumbled in the dusk behind us. We strove with high RPM's to stay ahead of the weather, and to find reclusive H2 Dude. Before long, and before Cambridge, our heroes found themselves on the shoulder of the 401 at the 403 near Woodstock. The last precious drops of juice were extracted from the volumetrically challenged jerry can. 5-10 km until reserve, we exited the 401 to find fuel, the first station uncovered showed the pumps to be locked. Argh F*&^! The GPS let us down again as we backtracked to Northhumberland road and found another closed gas station, it was only 10pm!
