We can run open stingers no problem except for the cayuga track they have a 108db rule........ The Ignition system is points! I find if you want to run an electronic system you better be able to purchase 2 units. one for the track and one as a spair. Points are just easy to diagnose & fix plus I lost a weekend of racing because of a new Boyer brainless iggy box blew !!! that HURT !! Once i've worked the bugs out on the bike I'll maybe look for an electronic unit. Cheers !!

racerPaul......I think you should add an "R " to the name for every piece of fiberglass you put on.....so....
one for the fairing....
two for the tail......
and three for the tank....
you can call it the KH/H1RRR....or KH1RRR.....................because its really a KH400 frame and not a lowly S3 frame ......
nonracerDan ...... ;D ;D ;D

You guys missed the crazy dude at Mosport...he saw Paul's bike and came over and said" can I touch your pipes?" I think he was a little wobbly from some spirits he was drinking, but if he had a chance I'm sure he would have tried to "have his way " with those stingers...LOL... By the way Paul..nice Zebra Grips ;D ;D See you at North Bay...

After 7 years of nothing......Bike was parked and never ridden... Thought I would at least finish this Thread! I finally got the S3 (kh) framed 500cc out of the shed and started back on it for a track day at Cayuga. Replaced the H2 front end with an S unit, installed GPZ550 progressive fork springs with some 3" spacers, did a leak down and compression check and all seemed good, Installed 3 little silencers as I remember there was a noise restriction at this facility (NOT), I took a stab at the jetting and set the carbs and the timing and hoped for the best. The bike handled excellent!, no complaints, (yet) It hit like a freight train but mid range was absolutely horrible, after some tuning and jetting I was finally comfortable and could take the entrance corner in 2nd gear instead of 1st!! lol The day ended way to soon.,,but Lower gearing and another tuning session should set me and the bike up better!! Hope to make some changes over the winter like rubber engine mounts !!!, Strip and repaint almost everything, electronic iggy. Yata yata
