Wow Lou what a generous offer!
KAE 63847 is my case numbers (my frame is in the 59 series)
I am going to pull the cylinder studs and lay a flat surface across the damaged area and do some poking with feeler gauges to see how bad it really is this weekend. A bit of the casting that covers the front motor mount bolt is broken away as well (I thought I could just cut it out so it's symetrical) but I will take some photo's. Got an other part squirreled away you are willing to sell or trade?
Probably will end up with forks, triples and possibly a swing arm I won't be needing.

During the gloomy period I took time out to build a quick, stationary build table, kneeling down on a garage floor bites, a good ply top will be added tomorrow. Then I dug out the carb with the broken screw it had been marinating in penetrating oil for 24 hrs, so I drilled it, added some heat and an easy out... viola Next was removing the cylinder studs from the cases... not an easy task I tried penetrating oil, heat, double nutting, impact wrench, air impact and the wouldn't budge.... I had to bust out the handymans secret weapon and got 11 of 12 out clean, the last one broke.... nothing my friendly local machinist can't fix, he will probably just weld a dowel to it and weld a handle on the dowel and by that time the heat should penetrate down deep and free it up, if not easy outs will be next. So just what was that brass piece in the carb and where do I get 3 replacements?

Those brass things are the enrichers (chokes). There will be a cable to each of them, pulled by a lever on your throttle housing. They can be found on eBay and some kaw dealers still have them.

They also come in the Keyster carb rebuild kits. One of the few parts you can safely use in those kits. Not sure if the kits Andre stocks has the enrichers.

Good info lads! Did some mockup work today to see what can and what can't get hacked off, this back tire is gonna make my butt looks small ;D Looks like I am gong to have to biff the back fender, was hoping to keep the bike looking stock as possible to try for a set of collectors plates. The GSXR swing arm is going to have some radical surgery... it adds 2" to the wheel base and is to wide at the mounting bolt. I wonder how the bike will handle with a wee bit longer wheelbase.

Looks like you're gonna have some fun gettin' that chain to clear inside the frame and past the tire with that setup! I'd love to see how you solve that. I've wanted to try something like your setup myself!

I thought the Keyster kits were garbage not the H1 kits as these are made by another company..

The Keyster kits are the questionable kits I referred. Over the years there have been many posts over at ktw regarding them. The needle taper is unknown and there have been some questions as if the jets flow the same as OEM. The keyster needle and seats function ok as do the gaskets and enricher plungers.
bake, Since you are building a custom you may want to consider putting those 28mm OEM carbs in the dustbin and mount some decent mikunis. The stock oem carbs often suffer air leaks because of the stupid method they mount on the adapter stubs. I finally gave up and mounted Mikuni VM 34s that I've had for many years. I see no reason to return to the 28s.

I've wanted to try something like your setup myself! It should prove interesting, my hopes are to run this swing arm but if it is going to cost a absolute fortune in machining I will considers one for a FZR. Had to do a little exploratory hacking today and I am still concerned about the extra 2" in length....SPEAK UP LADS.. and that wasn't enough so the passenger peg supports had to come off as well. Still have to machine a few mm's off the swingarm pivot before I will know if this is a go. Anyways won a seat off ebay for the project, just waiting for it to arrive. Now what is this bracket with the hole in the middle of the photo for and what mounts to the 2 holes in the bottom of the lower motor mount bolts? Finally... can someone measure from the ground to the lowest part of the frame (under the motor) when the bike is on it's center stand for me, I need to jig this up and want to make sure I get it high enough to get the suspension and wheels on.

The stock mufflers mounted to the bottom holes of the fwd mounts.

the other frame tab in your pic mounts the stock injector oil tank, if you will be running one, no right sidecover on that model, just the oil tank

I thought the Keyster kits were garbage not the H1 kits as these are made by another company.. Ian's H1 kits were made by Napco. The old Keyster kits were crap and never had the right pieces in them. They have changed and are now of decent quality and contain the right parts. I have gone through each kit we offer piece by piece all of the pieces in them are right. For around $16 the offer good value. I added up the cost of making these kits with genuine Mikuni parts and they would be close to $50 per kit.
