I sold 4 of them to KTW and ebay folks over the last 3 years. Saved one for my own petcock, but wished I had them all back now. damned aftermarket petcocks are garbage. LOL

Nice! the one in my 69 was a mess. TTNut fixed me up with a very nice used one. Found the sealing O ring (as in pic #2) and no more leak. B

Hmm.... I've used 23ft lbs on the 10mm nuts with no issues. In the Kawasaki manual, there's a range of 22-30ft lbs for 10mm coarse fasteners. Do you have a good accurate torque wrench to use?

I used 23 ft lbs on all my bikes with 10 mm case nuts..

it's a typo regarding the case nuts. 8mm should read 10mm in the manual.

hey mike
well i got the report back on the two bearings that failed. insufficient clearance. so i will reassemble the crank and get it off to you. use no locktite on assembly. did your bike seem to vibrate excessively?

they also said that the one bearing was showing signs of excessive vibration. did this bike vibrate back in the day when it first died?

don, do you mean the internal bearing clearance was insufficient? bearing defect or external cause?
