The only problem is, most can't or won't admit they should be in the slow group. It seems our group of triple guys are on the same page as far as speed goes.from what I've seen, there were slow moving targets in both slow and medium class... The only thing I would add to how Dave runs it, is bump down the 4 slowest guys and bump up the 4 fastest guys between slow and medium after the first heat... No matter what you signed up for.

Part of the problem is that many of the guys want to ride together... you know... the buddy thing. There can be a wide range in ability between buddies. Guys are paying to ride where they are qualified to AND, to a degree, where they want to. The rules are pretty much the same from slow to medium. The only real difference is the experience of the medium guys. Having the choice, I ride 'medium', but if I had no choice, I'd be quite happy to ride in the 'slow' group. It's far better than not riding at all. The VRRA "Try-the-Track" is one thing, the Vintage Trackday at TMP is a whole other animal. What we're talking here is a whole day of track riding at quick speeds. Even in the 'slow' group, you'll have ample opportunity to 'wring it out' on the straights and fly through more than a few corners. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with a day riding at TMP and hanging with your pals. It honestly doesn't get much better.

I'm going to be 'bumping' this event from now until the 19th! If we get one more guy to go, it'll be totally worth the effort. I'm thinking I'm going to bring the "Mongrel" back for another go-around at TMP this time. Maybe I'll just make it a track-only machine too. Seriously... it's a great day. You'll not regret going.

Dave lets you ride any of the vintage bikes you have at this event. Bring the Z1 and the H2 Drewski.
I was talking to H2 Dude at Mosport and we had a short talk with Dave about bringing out the real old vintage bikes. H2 Dude and some other VRRA guys have pre 1960 bikes that they never get to ride. Ian could bring his as well as the H2 and ride them all at no extra cost.
It's a great opportunity to ride your triples that don't have a plate also. Slow group is perfect for this as full leathers is not required as well.
Remember, this is not a race. Come out and ride what you have as fast as you feel comfortable with and enjoy it safely.
Throw your ego out the window and you will soon see that after a few laps your able to ride quicker and safer than you would on any road.
Sign up and support Dave on this great event. My 2 cents!
