Thanks for the kind words guys, I am really stoked now!! The paint was done by my friends at Gransport Auto body, www.gransportautobody.com/Keith is acceleration here on the board. They painted my car over 20 years ago and it still looks great (aside from a few self inflicted scratches) Duane is the painter and frankly, a genius. He matched my KD tank by eye after no one around my town could. The paint is old stock HOK candy purple, apparently I got the last tin of it before they got bought out by Sikkens(?) I stripped it and got it ready, another guy painted the base colour and then went AWOL. Duane fixed it up, applied the decals and made it into the stunner it is now. Progress I still slow, probably wont make it for Paris. but finally getting there.

Thanks for the kind words Adam.Brother Duane wet sanded the base color then applied the decals and clear coats and then he wet sanded and buffed the clear.Glad you are happy with the results.Duane recently completely restored a 400 triple and did the paint work on the panels for it too. Will try and get some pics of it too.Duane has over 30 years of experience and does all the paint work on the bikes and muscle car projects in the shop.Right now we are restoring a number of Kawa Triples and some RD and RZ 350'S.Recently did the paint work on the 1972 H2 we are restoring and did it the way the factory did it with all the correct base coats including the pearl base using a few originals panels and tanks we have to arrive at the color. It definately has the 72 H2 blue metallic transparent look the originals we copied have.Luckily we got interested in the bikes and stocking all the more popular colors clears and materials.Everything is switching over to water base and it might not be easy to match the colors with water base. And certainly the quality is not the same.I am restoring several H1'S right now and also have a 72 H2 I will save for later.Slowly adding bikes to the format of the shop. After restoring Muscle Cars for over 30 years it makes for a nice change.Saw a lot of these triples when they were new.Friends and I had several Denco bikes. One actually bought the FBG 8 second record holder and another bought a 73 Z1 brand new and sent the engine as soon as he got it to Pop's Yoshimurain Califonia. There were some really fast bikes in my town !! Back in the day !! That's why we decided to get back into them.
