Do you need anything else real pressing for it? Triple engine maybe? Walms, Walms, Walms... I've already got a Triple... remember?!? The 'other' Green one?!? Curtis, we're in good shape for Saturday. There are a few little things to tidy up on Friday (tomorrow) but all in all, we're good! Just gotta gas it up!! After Saturday, we're gonna add rear-sets, the bikini GPz fairing and eventually, the Kerker "racing" K-series pipe. I seriously think you guys are gonna love this thing. It's small enough for the "inseam challenged" to be able to be flat-footed at a stop. Nice sound outta the pipe. Lots of grunt. Six speed tranny. Sharp handling. This is gonna be a hoot! Wanna be the first in line Walms? I'm gonna sell tickets.

Trying to drag me to the dark side Drewski? Sure I'll ride it, we can swap for a heat, if you like? I can't see myself paying for the privilege tho!

You should like it Drew. It was one of the most popular bikes at VRRA I had a lot of fun on mine. I took off the fairing just to get the look of the 1100.

I thought KYB's were decent shocks? Trade talks for my RKY's I guess I'm spoiled...I got my Ohlins and had the suspension set up by John Sharrard (best $70.00 I ever spent). I can't recommend enough getting an expert like that to set your sag, rebound and compression...if you have all those adjustments You may know him, he used to crew for Jodi Christie on the Canadian Superbike circuit and he now has a shop up in Buckhorn Accelerated Technologies He also shows up at the Bike show every year. All I know is the back end got nervous on rough roads in corners....now it feels glued to the road.

Good call on that! I was riding my bike last year with one bad shock seal and was like, no problems other than a bit unstable... Then Leo took it out and told me it was dangerous the way it was! (Maybe worse with a light guy like him) Anyway, I had new shocks within 2 weeks on the bike and was amazed how much better it handled. No shock upgrade either, just functioning seals!

There's not much doubt the 550 will be pretty stiff at both ends. Rick kinda liked it when he was done with it though, so I think it'll be just fine. Got a few more details worked out on it today. "Number" plate on the front: Gee, the shop looks to be full of Red and Green Kawasaki's!! I'd better make some room and get that GPz outta there and off to it's owner. Centred the tach and cleaned up the tach/ignition switch mount: Still more to do to clean up the front of the bike with the fairing and a proper aluminum dash plate, but it's good for now.

The Gpz fairing will REALLY tie that bike together.
Is that a tether switch?
