It has come to my attention that having your Paris weekend on the fathers day weekend at my place is something only an "idiot" would plan. So to clarify how Paris came to be, it was Lou's idea to get together and crash the CVMG National Rally with as many triples as possible. I simply offered up my house, my shop, my tools and parts to make your visit to Paris more convenient / comfortable on the saturday. Personally I don't care when we have our gig, I just went along with Lou's incredible plan, btw Lou is not an idiot for perusing this idea, and I'm more than happy to keep his fathers day plan rolling along for years to come. I am sorry it falls on the fathers day weekend and have no problems changing the date for 2016, but 2015 at this point will happen the same weekend as always. I really feel, for the most part, most like F.D, as do I. Many people travel hundreds, or even thousands of kilometres to take part in the CVMG event. People from the USA and many provinces look forward to the CVMG Rally. Maybe we could ask the CVMG to move their weekend? (I can't help but wonder if the CVMG are included in the idiot classification )

It has come to my attention that having your Paris weekend on the fathers day weekend at my place is ....... Why break tradition Don??? Fathers Day is only a date on the calendar (even triple calendars) so folks who lament about it being a conflict, why not reschedule fathers Day for your family on ANOTHER day??? Lots of people celebrate Xmas on a different day, depending on travel plans and family availability. And that is no more a big deal than the "Paris Triples" meet to me. jmhFoas usual

Hey Donnie, Here's my take on it. My family does what Steve just suggested - we have Father's Day the next weekend, when I get back from Paris. For me, doing the long haul to attend and being a CVMG member, I prefer that Triples in Paris is on the same weekend as the CVMG Rally. I don't get down your way very often so to be able to attend two great motorcycle events in one trip is a bonus. Last year was a triple-whammy with Friday the 13th in Port Dover added to the mix. Counting down the days til June. Cheers, Neil

Just blame it on the CVMG. The problem for some of us is that "Father's Day" involves more than one father!! I have a father-in-law and 2 sons who are fathers as well. When you're planning a family event involving multiple families, just moving it to the next weekend often isn't an option. In my case, I live close by, so I leave Saturday night and celebrate with family on Sunday. I know that isn't a solution for guys that live many hours away. My vote is to keep it where it is. It's tradition!

believe it or not, I am a father too. My best father's Day present is going to Paris for the weekend, going to the fairgrounds to check out what is for sale and then seeing a bunch of degenerates who have become friends over the years.
I say, leave it where it is. Also, i really appreciate Donnie and Sally's hospitality. Anyway, it's worth it just to give Sally her bottle of Rum and tell her to try to drink Donnie pretty. I may have to think up a new line but that one has worked for many years now. Not sure if it worked for Sally though.
Thanks Don. I have had a great time for the last 7 times. looking forward to another.

Leave as it is Don. 2 great events that weekend ! I've been misunderstood. I was called the idiot, LoL. And I too have been called worse. Good to hear from you Lou. I guess the replies and the poll speak for themselves. I am quite happy with the same weekend as always, I have no intentions of changing the weekend guys. A member here isn't happy with the choice and made it quite clear that I was an idiot for choosing the fathers day weekend. As usual the facts had been ignored before the mouth was put in gear. Fathers Day Weekend it is! See you then
