Once again, this was one heck of a weekend! Ton of fun hanging out with a bunch of guys I've only met a half dozen times but feels like we've been buds since high school! This year we had the added treat of a inertia dyno on hand.Unfortunately I had a fairly hard nip up which kept me busy Saturday but in the end, it was worth it to hear the 3 into 1 being flogged on the dyno. The sound of it on the pipe was enough to give me goosebumps! I hope there is a good audio file of it out there somewhere! Haha Thanks for the hospitality Rick and Lisa! I hope it's not the last one!

Had a great time again! Henrys bike was a true pleasure to ride. Raat and son going for a ride. My boy and mark changing wheels on the sprint car... My boys bday present (so he tells me) Zambias dyno run Me and the gf were the only naked ones in lake Michigan. Beauty dip after a stinking hot day...

Yet another experience on a triple. I swapped bikes with Walms for the return from having an "Engineers " breakfast. Things were good until after the last corner up the hill to rb's. I heard the back wheel chirp and quickly pulled the clutch and coasted to 100 ft of the driveway. I did not feel too good at this point. A few flakes of aluminum pointed to the left cylinder. Yeap, that was it. And the heads looked like they were just bead blasted. Clean, clean. The cylinder was basically untouched except for some stuck aluminum that Walms ate away with muriatic acid. The piston just needed some filing and ring grove cleanup. The bike was put back together with help from Andy to fit the piston pin(old Kawi mechanic and now Nimbus expert). A bit of carb tweaks and test fire and then on the dyno. Pulled clean up to wailing revs with a great power curve. I was relieved. I think Walms may present the charts at some point, or not.
The weekend was filled with the usual mayhem. Some great KV and cart racing. The dyno was a great addition. The 51 Nimbus 750 straight four pulled 14 horsepower at 4500 rpm! Still good for 85 mph top speed! Henry's bike on the dyno was awesome. Videos coming. The KZ1300 beast shook the trailer the most.
Let's bring some more circular fire starter next time.
Thanks to Rick for hosting another fun weekend. Bravo.

Well what can i say! an absolute blast doesnt even begin to sum it up! From Marks strong competition on the KV track, the triple powered go-karts that require lunatics to race (RB, Mark, and Cody) The gorgeous rides through the upper peninsula where the straightaways are only long enough for you to loose site of Rick. And such a great chance to see some amazing bikes! Im truly honored to get the chance to spend time with and learn from you crazy old oil burning bastards! Id like to give a special thanks to Walms and Ian for making it possible for me to make it down to this event, its greatly appreciated! And a big thanks goes out to RB for welcoming us all into his home and sharing with us his property his knowledge and ever so impressive collection of bikes and other great toys, even that slightly ridiculous H2 (tractor??)
